Habitat bank developmentWe provide expert advice and delivery support for Biodiversity Gain Sites (habitat banks), helping local authorities and landowners create high-quality habitats in a timely and cost-effective way. This includes site identification, feasibility, implementation and ongoing management support. |
Biodiversity unit tradingWe enable developers and councils to offset ecological impacts by investing in habitat creation and conservation projects, ensuring compliance while supporting environmental stewardship. We have a range of fully compliant Biodiversity Units available, from Biodiversity Gain Sites that have been registered with DEFRA / Natural England. These are available through our Habitat Banks West Midlands service. |

Beacon Park, Lichfield
LWM Biodiversity transformed 3.6 hectares of former golf course land within Beacon Park into a thriving, publicly accessible nature reserve. The project combined habitat creation, Biodiversity Net Gain expertise and long-term environmental management to deliver lasting ecological and community benefits.

Habitat Havens, Lichfield District
LWMTS manages a network of Habitat Havens across the district, where grass and wildflowers are allowed to grow naturally to support biodiversity. Located in areas not used for recreation, these spaces provide valuable habitats for plants, insects, birds and small mammals, helping nature to thrive through reduced mowing and more wildlife-friendly land management.
