What the resident needed

The resident required adaptations to improve accessibility within the home, particularly around bathing and personal care. Difficulties with mobility were making everyday tasks increasingly challenging and reducing independence, creating a need for a safer and more accessible environment.

What we delivered

  • Wet room installation
  • Safety rails
  • Specialist equipment
  • Accessible layout redesign

How it helped
The completed adaptations transformed the resident's ability to move around their home safely and independently. By providing accessible shower facilities and a layout designed around their needs, the project reduced day-to-day barriers, improved confidence and comfort, and helped the resident maintain their independence and quality of life within their own home.

Testimonial

“The bathroom adaptations have already proved life changing. The difference changes like these make to my partner’s daily life cannot be underestimated and we both very much thank you for everything you have done to assist our family.”

“Having the wet room has been a lifesaver for me. I feel safe showering now, the safety rails are exactly where I need them, and daily tasks are so much easier when support is required.

"Before the adaptation I could only wash at the sink due to my mobility. Now I can comfortably and safely have a proper shower again. Thank you.”
